The property manager at the Meek Ranch gave us permission to fly in the large field. Art got us an FAA waiver of 5,000 feet with call-ins to 8,000 feet. Let the fun begin!
Teri's dropping me off at the launch and going to WalMart.

This is Mark's birds on his home made rocket rack.
Mark is planning on flying a couple of G & H birds.
Mark welds things.
This is a really nice launch rail pad he designed and built.
He built this pad too. Check out the second rocket's pencil detailed nose
cone.
VIDEO: This is an H powered delta saucer. Very impressive flight.
VIDEO: Nice flight, but a bit of weathercocking going on.
VIDEO: One of Art Applewhite's paper delta saucer prototypes (H powered).
VIDEO: Mark preps his big rocket and gets it mounted on the rail.
VIDEO: This bird is launching on a twiggy rigged H148.
Mark hooking up the twiggy igniter to the launcher.
VIDEO: Mark's fatal flight. The ejection charge lit while under full thrust.
Not good.
This is what an un-cushioned ejection cable can do to the strongest of body
tubes.
Beautiful day...
The pad and Art's nice home brew launcher.
This was probably the most reliable flier of the day. :)
VIDEO: Mark whimpers as he tries another launch.
This is one of the kid's cool dual D12 bird. Nice. Although it did have an
ejection problem.
VIDEO: Oops.. launched the other guy's rocket...
Couple of nice rockets sitting on the pads.
These two were nice fliers.
This was one of Mike's. He didn't launch it, but I wanted to get a scale shot
of it (note the soda can).
VIDEO: This is one of Art's 5-sided delta saucer prototypes flying on an H or
I I think.
Another one of Mike's birds.
Mark's going to try for at least one disaster free flight.
No such luck.. Poor Mark. Even the first stage came down like a whistling
missile. He's got his work cut out for him.
