Here's the cabin we stayed in.
It was right on the pond, so we did a lot of fishing.
Pretty.
Mom caught a 14" large mouth that we were supposed to throw back. But he died before we could. So we kept him.
Pretty nice little pond.
Nice sun set.
Everyone's ready for bed.
We had to fish early and late because in was in to 100's all week!
This is us in "the" local restaurant making a scene.
Canadian Honkers.
Yes, we fished right on past dusk some times.
and fished..
and fished...
This is mom and Teri in the paddle boat.
Dad and I stuck with the canoe. It was very smooth on the pond.
Teri's
Bass. :)
Up and At'em. Fishing again!
He's all rigged up now.
It's Farm Dog Bear!
He's a runnin' fool!
Bear didn't like being left on shore.
But he figured it out and came back to land.
Acha-cha-cha-cha! Refreshing!
There they go...
Heh.. That's dad in the canoe, in case you can't tell by the tilt of the bow. ;)
Bear Boy like cabin camping!
Closer shot..
Pretty shot of the railway car cabin across the pond.
of the geese.
Pretty...
Mom after an after noon/lunch nap.
I just woke up too.
Oh yea... we're in vacation mode now.
Bear doesn't often like to be cuddled long... Unless he's really worn out.
Teri loves it when Bear snuggles.
The next day, for lunch, we had 1/2lb burgers from the grill! Wow.. they're HUGE!
Camera still in the same position, that night, we finally had enough fish for a fish fry! Bass, Blue Gill and hush puppies! Yum!
Now for a night time retreat to the swimming pool up at the big house.
The pool water was almost 90 degrees. Not exactly cool, but it was refreshing.
The next day we went "into town" and had some blue bell ice cream at the local ice cream shack (literally, a converted shed with tables).
"Eeewwww.. It's all wet in here!"
That night, in the 94 degree heat, dad wanted to build a bonfire to roast weenies and marshmallows! hehe
Note the height of the fire. That's from the fish grease from last night.. ;)
Teri trying to get her weenie in before SHE gets cooked!
My weenie. "T" for Tom. How many Ts can you find in this photo? Really?!
Dad got up extra early to go back to the dock for that big catfish that got away last night. Look at the stomach on him! And the fish has a big one too!
Mom and dad singing Sunday morning praises.
The ranch owner also raises deer.
We had never had a white tail LICK US before though. That was strange!
Then the owner's son "Bubba" (yes.. his real birth name) took us out to the power lines for some shootin' practice. This is Teri with Grandma Weeks' 22 auto.
Then with dad's snub nosed 357 magnum!
Wow.. What a kick!
Loud too!
Dad has his conceal to carry for this gun.

Some geek shots of Bear.
Hopeful Bear...
Cute Bear...
Last day.. all packed and ready to head out.
Last goodbyes and parting jokes...
and hugs. (cool shirt eh?)
Oh yes.. here's the entry way sign to the ranch.
Here are some photos of funny signs we saw around town. A gas station beauty shop.
Teri really liked this one.. But mom didn't get it.
Here was another funny/ironic one. A motorcycle store and flower shop. One stop shopping for the bike and the funeral flowers! hehe..
And of course before going back to Texas, we had to get a photo of the wonderful town sign of "Antlers Oklahoma, Deer Capitol Of The World!"
