In Late 2006 and early 2007, we started watching kids for foster parent friends of ours to prepare for our fostering certification. Emma, a cute and very smart 2 year old stayed with us for a couple of short stints (before we were certified), but ended up going to live with some of her half siblings in another family. Then in late December 2006, we got our state foster certification, and then had to opportunity to take care of Kayla(3 years) and little Joe(2 days). At first we were very nervous that we couldn't handle the both of them... but really didn't want to see them get separated, so now we're officially fostering the two. In the first set of Kayla and Joe pictures below, we're just through the first week of Jan. 2007. So far so good! All we can do is love them, take good care of them and pray to see what God has in store for us all. :)
