Configuring Your Firewall

• Goals of the following configuration section:

• Configure internal & external network cards

• Get a DHCP IP address on eth0 from your broadband provider

• Serve DHCP on your internal eth1 interface

• Run DNS (BIND) for your internal network

• Run SSH internally so that your administrator(s) can internally administer the firewall

• Configure other internal services to assist in monitoring the firewall traffic (ntop, thttpd)
