Sidebar: Adding Dynamic IP Addressing

Since I am working with Sun's PPP on Solaris 2.4, I am using static IP addressing. Dynamic addressing does not work with v2.4, but will be implemented in the Solaris 2.5 release. For Solaris 2.5, you can obtain dynamic IP address designation by adding the following to the /etc/asppp.cf configuration file:
