• 1994 Viacrypt release commercial version of PGP 2.7.1

• 1996 US Case is dropped, PGP Inc is formed in a merger with Viacrypt

• 1997 Network Associates Inc acquires PGP Inc

• 1999 PGP 6.5 introduces VPN support

• 2001 Zimmerman Leaves NAI over disagreements about publishing source for PGP 7.0.3

• Present, PGP Corp has replaced NAI and continues to refine the product with support for OS X and other additions.
