1994 Viacrypt release commercial version of PGP 2.7.1
1996 US Case is dropped, PGP Inc is formed in a merger with Viacrypt
1997 Network Associates Inc acquires PGP Inc
1999 PGP 6.5 introduces VPN support
2001 Zimmerman Leaves NAI over disagreements about publishing source for PGP 7.0.3
Present, PGP Corp has replaced NAI and continues to refine the product with support for OS X and other additions.
